Prints for Analogue Aotearoa

I haven’t been very active in updating this website since making it but I’ll attempt to get it more up-to-date with my current practice in the future. For now here’s a quick blog post about some prints I’ve made for the upcoming film and darkroom/alt-process print festival Analogue Aotearoa, in Te Aroha, New Zealand over the 1st and 2nd of November 2025. If you’re in Auckland or Waikato and you’re looking for something to do that weekend you should go and check it out, I’ll be there showing six of my toned cyanotype prints.

These prints were made with the digital UV-light projector I made a few months back, which unlocks a huge amount of artistic potential for me. In the short term it lets me print bigger (the following prints are on A2 sized paper) but in the future it will allow me to create all kinds of interesting work (e.g. printing on strange substrates, printing on 3D surfaces, dynamically printing video feeds etc.).

As mentioned above, these six prints are coffee-toned cyanotype on Hahnemuhle watercolour paper. All are around 56x42 cm, wax coated and framed in stained oak without glass. I’m really pleased with how they turned out and I’m looking forward to sharing them in Te Aroha next weekend! They’re all going to be for sale so if you want one that’s your chance.
